Chief Minister Pramod Sawant should think and speak sensibly. His latest prescription asking people and tourists to park their vehicles outside the city before venturing into Panaji is preposterous to say the least. Will the Chief Minister himself set an example by walking into the city leaving his vehicle and the accompanying convoy? Will the Chief Minister please try to be more sensitive especially when he brags about his ‘Prashasan Tumchya Dari’ (Governance at your doorstep)? The best interests of the people should weigh uppermost in his mind at all times, especially now when good governance and the rule of law has sunk to an all-time low. On the current mess and chaos that Panaji is enveloped in, instead of acting against those politicians and officials involved for dereliction of duty, the Chief Minister is trying to give us unsolicited suggestions that are so weird. Yet again CM who has run out of ideas on how to tackle the urgent issues plaguing Goa rushes to make rash statements without thinking twice about their implication or effectiveness.
