Goa went into a frenzied party mode on Saturday with the Carnival float parade in Panaji drawing huge crowds bringing back memories of yester years. There were masks, colourful themed floats and there was fun and merriment all around with no protocols in sight. Carnival is a big ticket event for Goa's tourism, and understandably draws the attention of tourists. The health bulletin on Saturday showed no deaths and positivity rate dipped to 1.3 %. There are visible signs that we are on the road to recovery. But we can't go into a careless celebration even at this stage. Ironically, there is hesitancy from a section of people when it comes to reopening schools, but there were children soaking in the Carnvial revelery with parents showing no concern of the virus.
