During the recent hot-mixing of roads undertaken at different locations in and around Ponda, speed-breakers were built for the safety of innocent travellers proceeding along the road. However, it is rather unfortunate that no signboards have been installed adjacent to the speed-breakers at some locations till date. As a result vehicular traffic, especially two-wheeler riders remain at a great risk and danger. In case they proceed with full speed over the concerned speed-breakers, they are likely to get involved in a serious mishap, sooner or later. This would indeed result in disastrous consequences. Precious human lives cannot be taken for granted at any instance and need to receive necessary protection at all costs. Let us hope that the concerned competent authorities would take a note of this important matter and arrange installation of the much needed traffic signboards near speed-breakers so that vehicle riders remain more cautious while proceeding along the concerned routes. Of course, public at large must be assured safety at all costs.
