People must rise up and try to do what is right

India needs to strengthen liberal democracy at home and pursue our Constitutional national interests fearlessly abroad. Seeing the current electoral scenario it appears honesty and merit are irrelevant and religion, caste, nepotism, power and money will decide electoral votes. The ruling coalition uses government machinery and every institution to undermine and denigrate the already divided Opposition. What shocks are tactics used brazenly and going unchecked for example LoP vote chori yatra after painstaking facts and malpractices widely published at open press conferences simply got ignored by the EC and then with government full backing starting a SIR. Not only that, government spokespersons and anchors of popular TV channels go to the sites of the vote chori yatra under the guise of reality check and try to convince the people that there is no such thing as vote chori. It is up to “we the people” to bring the narrative back to constitutional democracy, free and fair elections with level playing field and parliamentary democracy where the law is  equal for everyone. Why are we unable to conscientiously rise up together to do what is right?
