Finally the Sonali Phogat murder case has been transferred to the CBI on the ultimatum or call it threat by a body sitting in Haryana and our government buckles under the pressure from outside Goa. It shows the government is least bothered about our Niz Goans who are fighting against projects which are detrimental for the State and the people for example the double tracking the existing track, coal transportation which will cause numerous breathing ailments causing health hazard, Tanmar project in Mollem which will cause a environmental disaster. The people are fighting against the IIT in Sanguem where agricultural land where people are dependent on the land for survival are confiscated from the people of Sanguem, why is the government not listening to the demand of the people? Is our Goa police not doing their duty or they are incompetent or inefficient to handle such high profile cases or is it an indictment of the Anjuna Police? I don't think so, personally I feel there are good officers in the police department who are capable of cracking the case but the government has buckled to pressure from higher ups. Why our own Siddhi Naik case was not transferred to the CBI? Goans, their parents and family were demanding this, instead we see double standards followed by the government.
