Stop targeting priests for recent political happenings

Some self-styled intellectuals are of late heard unnecessarily targeting and blaming our Catholic priests for the recent political happenings in Goa. Why?  Did our priests commit a crime during the assembly elections by advising their followers to unitedly vote for the right candidates of just one fully established secular party and not to split the secular votes to defeat the communal BJP in Goa?

And, how can our priests be held accountable for the recent political tsunami in Goa? Had they advised the eight elected MLAs to join the BJP after getting elected on a Congress ticket in Goa?

And why should our priests stay like mute spectators and not discuss  anything about politics in Goa? Don't they have a fundamental right to guide their flock on the right path and to expose the misdeeds of a known anti-minority political party like the BJP in Goa?

Well, I have indeed seen priests roaming around in the company of so many politicians but have never seen them pressuring their followers through their sermons to precisely vote for some particular politicians based on religion.

I therefore think that these individuals should immediately stop targeting our innocent priests unnecessarily by spreading their own imaginary lies and instead dare to blame the BJP leaders for mischievously backing a number of new political parties to split the secular votes at every election.
