Addressing school students in Sanquelim, the chief minister, Pramod Sawant told them that he won't destroy Mollem, but that he could not stop the infra projects from coming up there.
How is it possible for the chief minister to make such a statement which is contradictory? If the three infra projects come up in Mollem, then Mollem will be destroyed and so there is no question of not stopping the infra projects and at the same time not destroying Mollem. The students should have tersely told him: Leave Mollem alone in its pristine entirety.
It is known that once a bad beginning is made, it can spread all over and that is why it is important to leave Mollem in its pristine glory. It is known that Mollem is the habitat to a wide variety of flora and fauna and that it would be not only prudent but also exemplary for the chief minister to bow done to the wishes of the majority of the people and once for all shelve the three infra projects so as to save Mollem from destruction.
