The murder of Haryana BJP leader Sonali Phogat under mysterious circumstances at Anjuna has again brought our State into the national limelight.
Our elected politicians (past and present) have indeed turned Goa into a major drugs hub by fully patronising illegal activities of all notorious drug dealers, drug peddlers in the coastal belt.
Today, the whole world knows that domestic tourists come here not to see our beaches, churches, temples etc or to have pav-bhaaji, vadha-pav, chouris-pav, lime-soda, soft drinks, ice-creams etc but only due to the free availability of drugs & booze.
Unfortunately, our politicians are seen doing absolutely nothing about this whole thing because they themselves want this show of filth to go on forever to enjoy their own 'achhe din' in Goa.
The much publicised case of late Sonali Phogat would not have progressed this far but due to constant pressure from the family members. The Goa police were forced to take things seriously, at least at the moment and to arrest a few people allegedly involved in the case.
I hope that the Goa police finally cracks down this case and punish all those involved in the murder of this high profile person as this is a golden opportunity to finally clean up Goa from all drug-related activities.
