Politicos must stop supporting criminals

Recently, some members of right-wing groups like Bajrang Dal, RSS, Karni Sena reportedly took out a rally in support of the Thakurs accused in the Hathras gang-rape assault case in UP and claiming their innocence in the entire episode.

Similar rallies had also supported Deepak Khajuria in 2018 who was later found guilty and sentenced to life-imprisonment.

Such support by political parties and their affiliates does not augur well for the general good of the society and will only lead to more tension.

But the irony in India is, people still follow blind faith and are easily fooled in the name of caste and religion.

New India is all about changing names of cities and spewing venom against our own citizens. People still cannot differentiate between right and wrong due to which we see even the so-called "highly-educated" people blindly choosing known hardcore criminals, thugs and not modern liberal-minded highly-educated leaders to run this country.

With these leaders, our country will never be a safe place for women.
