Poor upkeep of Ravindra Bhavan in Margao

I recently visited Ravindra Bhavan in Margao for the annual book and literature festival but was disappointed to see that the upkeep of the cultural hub of Margao leaves much to be desired. There was a lot of seepage observed on the walls near the Pai Tiatrist hall, and the ceiling showed damp patches too. In other places, one encountered flaking paint, peeling plaster, and mildew. I would request the trustees to ensure better maintenance of this beautiful building.

If the purpose of changing the academic year from April is to implement the New Education Policy, then unifying the boards should have been the first step. Instead of having ICSE, CBSE, State, and IB boards, the Chief Minister should have introduced a single board with a standard curriculum.
