TMC’s ‘offer’ to form an alliance with Congress and GF -- not AAP -- to ‘defeat’ the BJP shows they have come down to earth. This comes after an Opinion Poll showed Congress getting 20-22 seats, BJP 11-13 and others 6-8.
TMC knows their schemes are nothing but bribes that will help only outsiders not locals. Imagine, with the 4% interest on 20 lakh, how many gaddas, vegetable, fruit and fish vendors, trinket shops and massage parlours will proliferate in Goa!
This means Congress would have to bear the costs which they know will be a huge burden on locals.
Further, TMC has no proven vote share in Goa. So, if they truly want to dump their ego and listen to logic and prevent splitting of votes on their account, they must join an alliance with the Congress.
Goans don’t want bribing schemes. They want to know after 5 years will land be still acquired only from Goans and Comunidade for kabrastans, highways, whatever, or will the new land holders also contribute to the same?
Will Goan youth be forced to be butlers, chefs, masseuses and condemned to hinterland tourism for jobs or be able to be computer engineers etc?
