Many people travel towards Rassaim, Cortalim, Verna, Vasco and the neighbouring areas via Adpai ferry. However, presence of scattered plastic garbage at this jetty renders an ugly appearance in the minds of commuters.
Plastic bottles are being dumped in open area thereby defeating the very essence of ‘Swachh Goa Mission’. Such an undesirable situation needs to improve on priority basis.
It is necessary for the local village panchayat, viz the VP of Adpai- Durbhat to take a note of this matter and provide a dustbin at these strategic premises so that the jetty remains neat and tidy on a permanent basis.
Let us hope that the elected representatives at this VP would initiate prompt positive action in this regard before the existing undesirable situation turns from bad to worse. Of course, cleanliness needs to be maintained at all costs.
