After a long break, RG has returned to politics, but just like in the Lok Sabha elections, one RG MLA will not be part of the India alliance. They plan to fight the election alone, aiming to divide the votes and help the BJP win again. This time, Goans abroad will not financially support RG, as they have learned from past mistakes. Goans living abroad face job difficulties and work hard year-round to support their families back home.
Running an election campaign requires significant funding, which RG lacks. Without support from outsiders settled in Goa for years, they cannot win. Sadly, this is the reality “ from cities to villages, outsiders own businesses, properties, and jobs in both the private and government sectors. A survey would show these facts.
Shouting from abroad, especially from European and Gulf countries, won’t save Goa. The only way to protect Goa is by exercising the right to vote here. RG seems to disappear when it comes to solving Goa’s issues, leaving the people to protest on the streets. Many are even caught up in FIR cases for raising their voices.
Goans are confused about who to vote for, as many candidates switch to the BJP after winning, deceiving voters with promises of development. Money is changing the political game, and unfortunately, the people of Goa are not learning from this.
