In today’s lifestyle, the habit of using earphones for hours”for work, travel, entertainment, and gaming”has increased; in fact, earphones have become a necessity. Constant exposure to loud sounds is silently damaging the delicate cells inside the ears. This is seriously affecting hearing ability, and if precautions are not taken in time, it may lead to major health risks in the future. This impact is especially noticeable among young people. In the digital age, the increasing use of earphones and headphones is becoming dangerous for their hearing. A shocking report suggests that 6 out of 10 individuals in the 20“30 age group experience hearing-related issues. Around 65% of young people in this age group show symptoms related to hearing loss. Common complaints include ringing in the ears (tinnitus), difficulty in hearing clearly, or frequently increasing the volume. If this condition persists, it may lead to permanent hearing loss. Traffic, construction, and public noise force people to increase earphone volume, directly affecting their ears. Additionally, the availability of noise-cancellation earphones has led to increased accidents due to reduced awareness of surroundings. Therefore, young people must take precautions now; otherwise, earphones may soon be replaced by hearing aids.
