Whenever there is anything from the Central Government ( eg. villages under Environmentally Sensitive Areas (ESA)) or say Tiger Reserve (order from the courts), the most prominent politician to immediately challenge (using taxpayers money) or speak out is the Goa forest minister. It is certainly ironic that I have never noticed this forest minister push legislations or fight or challenge; in terms of protecting the environment, forests, trees, wildlife, hills, etc. What's even worse, is that this minister doubles up as the TCP minister, so the forest ministry blindly allows the TCP ministry to allow destruction of forests, trees, wildlife trees in order to favour the real estate developers and big companies mainly from outside Goa. The latter is like a one stop shop (combo ministry) to facilitate the destruction of Goa. Hope Goans realise that Goa forests need to be protected from the authorities under the governance of Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and also by an allowance from the environment minister.
