The Chief Minister, Pramod Sawant, has suggested that the head office building of the beleaguered Mapusa Urban Bank in Mapusa may become the administrative building of Bardez Taluka. I would suggest that the Power Minister, Sudin Dhavlikar, and the Chief Engineer of the Electricity Department request the shifting of the present office of the Electricity Department in Mapusa, which is situated on a slope and has no parking provision for the staff and consumers who visit this office daily. Cars are parked on one side of the road, causing hardship to the locals and road users. It fails to meet road safety requirements. I hope the Mapusa MLA, Joshua Dsouza, will also support the shifting of this Electricity Department office to Mapusa city near the Bardez Magistrate office.
