Aam Aadmi Party /Revolutionary Goans Party and some media are immaturely playing right into the BJP’s hands. All know about the BJP cases against the then Congress MLA - Mauvin Godinho - who is now in the BJP and on the verge of getting the cases withdrawn. There is a serious malaise in Goa politics whereby voices against corruption are suppressed by blackmail or bribes. This is a crime against democracy and not a single party. A day after the failed Congress split, the key AAP candidate from Curtorim announces he will join the BJP: what does AAP have to say?
Crimes in Goa have been steadily increasing including that of rapes. A few days back media reported that Delhi is seeing a 19% increase in deaths due to negligence over the previous year. Negligence cases include traffic accidents like hit-and-run, drowning, electrocution, falling structures or trees, falling in open drains, fires, etc. Are we not interested in curtailing these in Goa? AAP is afraid the government would point to Delhi’s record? In the meantime, all opposition parties must boycott these 5 MLAs: not doing so means they are partnering with the BJP and encouraging the same.
