The SGPDA fruit and vegetable market sees thousands of footfalls daily, but the area around the building is a mess. Missing pavers, misaligned drain covers, choked drains, rotting produce discarded by the vendors, garbage strewn around, traffic jams, etc., lead to a very unpleasant experience for customers. The drain covers and missing pavers are a cause of accidents for both pedestrians and vehicles. The Margao municipality really needs to spruce up the place; it is a dangerous, chaotic mess now.
