In a heart wrenching horrific accident involving 4 people in a SUV when it nose dived into the Zuari river and all their mortal remains later recovered. These deaths could have been prevented had there been a heavy duty structure in the form of railings in place on the bridge. A truly concreted reinforcements with highest steel density in the range of 25mm bars vertical and horizontal placements had to be intertwined with steel reinforcements coming from the underbelly of the slab of the bridge was required. With such a structure in place the car would have hit the railings and rebounded back on to the middle of the bridge, at the most occupants would have suffered some injuries but saved from death. Drivers need to drive cautiously adhering to speed limits and avoid overtaking specially on bridges. Zuari bridge has run its course of durability and time limitations. Timely work is required to be executed on the bridge to avoid further mishaps. Speed breakers are required on the bridge to curtail rash and suicidal drivers from putting their as well as other people's lives at risk.
