Thefts cases pertaining to some high profile schools in Goa are on an increase with adverse effects. Few months back, some gang of robbers used the same modus operandi of robbing the school premises in the night hours. Subsequently, the same type of thefts are getting reported once again across Goa. "Prevention is better than cure"--- as the saying goes, similarly certain changes ought to be done at the right time, which can reduce the negative impact. Initially, it would be a wise decision if cash is not kept in the school premises. Secondly, the CCTV cameras should be in working condition and timely maintenance of it is the need of the hour. Next, the schools ought to have a security guard just to keep an eye on such type of atrocities committed in darkness. Furthermore, a thorough check should be conducted by the authorities concerned across the villages of the State pertaining to the whereabouts of the migrants and the type of occupation they are involved in. Moreover, the local populace should also inform the authorities concerned if they are aware of any untoward situation or illegal involvement of any individual. Henceforth, this could work wonders in identifying the culprits, if there is any. Eventually, police patrolling at night should also be increased and suspicious activity of anyone ought to be dealt with severely.
