Stop unending lust for the chair by our politicians

It is normally seen that there is unending lust for chairs by our politicians. After getting nomination for North Lok Sabha seat it is rumoured that this will be his last term to garner sympathy votes and public feedback. After occupying various positions in Government for many terms he still desires a chair and neither made efforts nor allowed to groom any substitute. Another one from South Goa even before getting the candidature has declared the coming term as his last term, another novel way of drawing attention when present tenure itself was fluke. The term was not noteworthy other than time spent in issuing statements and press notes yet he received pay, perks, and allowances punctually. Politics has presently become lucrative business and not a platform for social work as in the past. Investment is recovered in no time and lifetime hefty pension which gets added for every term served. The poor govt employee has to toil for full life just to get a meagre pension. It is high time we realise the harm done to self, family and state in choosing such dumb, ineffective and selfish politicians to lead us.
