This indeed seemed like an 'action-packed' drama from some Bollywood thriller, but nevertheless it's a hard reality. It's learnt that due to the spread of fog and visibility issue, the concerned IndiGo flight in Delhi was delayed for approximately 10 hours. This led to the assault of the pilot by the passenger. Due to visibility issue, several flights had been either cancelled/delayed or diverted from the said airport. However, the current incident brings to memory another onboard scenario which had occurred in June 2023. The passenger onboard of a Delhi-bound Vistara flight was infact arrested as he was making certain objectionable comments in Hindi while speaking to someone on the phone, like that of 'hijacking' the plane. As revealed, alertness and instant intervention of the crew member along with the other passengers led to the arrest of this man, thus leading to the safety of everyone. However, the question arises is that, how safe are we while we are travelling? Eventually, for the safety of the passengers, the government should implement stringent measures to eradicate unruly behaviour while travelling onboard.
