There’s more to cry about, very little to celebrate

India celebrated a milestone in its vaccination  drive, which is not even covering half the population.

We should rather mourn the deaths that were caused in India  due to Covid that have  resulted in misery and financial crisis to the families. We should cry over spiraling burden of prices of all essential commodities, unemployment, atrocities  against poor and women belonging to the minorities.

There is nothing  better to celebrate  in India so the govt creates opportunities to gloat and publicise an event which no nation in the world has done when the vaccination count is near total or more than half.  The focus of our govt’s priorities  and preferences are misplaced by directing its energies  to create euphoria. The less said of all its slogans and promises that are a joke on its citizenry.
