To deal with potential Covid wave, don't rely on politicians

Given that the Covid-19 cases have been spiking in China due to a new variant, it's great to see the government take precautionary measures. However, if the past has been any indication, the politicians running the government will definitely bungle it. While the memories of past Covid-19 waves and lockdowns are still fresh, the incompetence shown by decision makers is also etched in our memories. If the cases do start to rise in India, the first thing the citizens must do is take all the precautionary measures. The politicians have clearly shown their lack of regard for the general public, it would be fitting not to rely on them. In fact, having dealt with a few Covid-19 waves, everyone is educated enough on what to do. For those who haven't, an emergency fund to deal with any sudden expenses has to be compulsory. This will be a bit difficult but a few months of frugality will solve it. If the cases do spike, don't rely on politicians to do the right thing. Take personal precautions.
