Water crisis in Mandrem needs to be resolved

We have been receiving poor water supply in our taps for the past 15 days in and around Madlamaj,  Mandrem   I have complained to the Assistant Engineer and Junior Engineer, Water Department, Pernem several times but to no avail.  My neighbours including the neighbouring wards in and around Mandrem have not been receiving potable water. Moreover, we have been requesting our Panch member and our local MLA who have been good enough to oblige us by sending us water tanker from time to time.  But this temporary arrangement does not resolve our water crisis problem.  We need to have a regular supply of potable water. Incidentally,  water pipes laid out in and around Mandrem are about 20-25 years old.  These old pipes need to be replaced to enable us to receive good water supply of potable water. The local pump operators also play truant by discriminately allowing the water to reach the hotels and other business outlets. We hope that the Water Department, Pernem will take up this matter of water shortage on a war footing to resolve this problem.
