We are witnessing gross miscarriage of justice

The Supreme Court of India has but become an organ of the government if its recent judgements are anything to go by. First up, on expected lines the court ruled on a bunch of PILs that there was no need to set up a SIT or CBI independent probe to investigate the Adani group on allegations of stock manipulation and other wrongdoing as claimed by Hindenburg Research. SEBI even after getting repeated extensions has not yet concluded it's investigations into L'affaire Adani,  most probably it  will be scuttled midway. In yet another miscarriage of justice the Apex Court declined to grant interim relief to TMC leader Mahua Moitra who was expelled from the Lok Sabha on specious grounds based on the report of a BJP partisan parliamentary ethics committee. The hearing in the matter has been postponed to the week commencing March 11. The court also refused to allow Moitra to participate in the crucial budget session of Parliament in February. This amounts to nothing but gagging the voices of the opposition by the government using the executive, the legislature and now sadly the judiciary too.
