Why are liquor shops open during curfew?

The Pramod Sawant-led BJP government had imposed the ongoing statewide 15-day curfew after clearly assuring the 'aam-Goans' of keeping only the shops of all essential commodities/goods/items open from 7 am to 1 pm daily in most parts of Goa.

Shockingly all liquor shops are seen openly operating not just in towns but even in most interior villages of Goa. Now, isn't that confusing and disgusting? Hey, how can the government of the day deprive Goans of their daily diet comprising of fish, beef, pork, etc  citing silly reasons but allow liquor shops to operate during the ongoing curfew period despite knowing fully well that liquor is currently destroying thousands of Goan families and when liquor does not even come in the essential goods or food items category in any way?

I think that the government of the day is more interested in providing only booze for all the roadside drunkards and not in providing even the basis daily needs or food for all the struggling "aam-Goenkaars" during today's ongoing pandemic crisis in Goa.
