This is the time for transfer of priests. Last year, though transfers were finalized they were held back because of the pandemic. This year, the onslaught of Covid is even worse. Yet transfers have been finalized and announced as if the pandemic would not affect the health of priests.
Worse still is that some priests have been told to stay back and others, especially assistants, have been given marching orders by June 1. I fail to understand this discrimination without any criterion. I hope that, even at this late stage, the authorities will avoid discrimination with regard to transfers of priests.
