The Swachh Bharat Abhiyan or Swachh Bharat Mission was launched October 2, 2014 with a lot of hype by Prime Minister Narendra Modi with the sole intention of creating an awareness amongst people about cleanliness and teaching them on how to keep their surroundings clean throughout India. Unfortunately, even after forcibly making people to take part in some useless exercises on Gandhi Jayanti day every year in the name of doing some cleaning everywhere, nothing seems to have really change so far as most government offices, towns/cities, villages, public places are seen as dirty as ever and most people are still seen dumping their garbage near the roadside. Well, I therefore feel that this much publicised annual 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' or photo-session drama needs to be cancelled or discontinued in the near future because the said exercise was launched by leaders of the Central BJP government not to create an awareness amongst Indians about cleanliness or to pay their respects for Mahatma Gandhi but with the sole intention of slowly cancelling Gandhi Jayanti public holiday.
