Jumping from one party to another for greed and power, they plan to contest elsewhere, fooling voters with empty promises of development. What should be public service has turned into a battle of egos—“I am the best.” Meanwhile, the people suffer as politicians prioritise their ambitions over genuine progress. Some leaders exploit Shivaji Maharaj’s legacy and religious sentiments to divide Goans, playing communal politics to stay in power. This divisiveness threatens the social harmony that Goa has cherished for decades. Whether it's British, Portuguese, or present Indian governments, the people of Goa have witnessed the same cycle of fake smiles and hollow promises.
