It reveals a dangerous sense of entitlement among those with political connections. When ordinary citizens are threatened with rods and sticks for simply asking for passage, the message is clear: Power protects its own. This pattern is visible across India, from Bengaluru to Delhi. The law must apply equally to everyone, regardless of surname or connections. The Curchorem police must investigate this case strictly on its merits. Anything less will tell citizens that justice is for sale. The credibility of our institutions depends on how they treat the powerful when they break the law.
