Time has come for fresh faces in Goan politics

From my childhood days to now, I have witnessed the same group of senior politicians contesting elections repeatedly. Many are driven by a desire to establish family political dynasties rather than serve the public. When asked about retirement, these seasoned leaders often say, "Age is just a number," revealing their unyielding thirst for power and greed for money. They refuse to step aside, denying opportunities to fresh, capable candidates. As educated citizens, it is baffling why the people of Goa continue to support these entrenched politicians. We are tired of seeing the same faces since our school days. Goa urgently needs new leadership that brings fresh ideas, energy, and genuine commitment to the state’s progress. The time has come for Goans to demand accountability and embrace change. Only by encouraging young, dynamic leaders can Goa hope to address its challenges and build a brighter future for all.
