Goa, the smallest state, is witnessing a disturbing surge in road accidents, with numerous lives lost and many seriously injured. This tragic trend demands immediate attention from all of us. The Traffic, RTO, and Police departments have stepped up enforcement—checking pollution certificates, vehicle conditions, number plates, licenses, insurance, and documents. Cameras at traffic signals are actively catching violators.
Most accidents result from drunk driving, over speeding, not wearing seat belts or helmets, using mobile phones while driving, and underage children driving without licenses, often triple-riding or going the wrong way. Every life lost is a family shattered. Please follow traffic rules diligently—not just to avoid fines, but to protect yourself and your loved ones. Our families await our safe return home every day. Let’s stop blaming the government or police later. True safety begins with our own responsibility on the road. Together, we can save lives and make Goa’s roads safer for everyone.
