Goa has always been a land of phenomenal artistic talent, and now a Goan artist, Kalidas Satardekar is set to make the State and the Country proud, Kalidas’ paintings have been chosen for exhibition at Hello Hong-Kong International Watercolour Exposition 2020, which is set to take place in Hong Kong from February 18-24 next year. Satardekar is among ten Indian artists selected for the exposition, which will also include works of artists from other countries around the world. Various artists from around 45-50 countries have participated in this exhibition.
Satardekar has been a recipient of State Art Award and has also made his mark on the national art scene on several occasions. “The topic for Hello Hong Kong exposition was ‘The City of Hong Kong’. The announcement was made online on the website of International Watercolour Society, and participants were given references, based on which they then had to paint,” informed Satardekar, whose painting of the Shivaji-era fort of Malvan will be a part of Olympiart painting exhibition in Delhi which will be held from December 8 to 11.
“For the Hong Kong expo, we had to send the original painting by mail, and it has been received by the organisers of the exposition. It will now be exhibited and judged,” informed Satardekar.
