They patiently watched Bollywood stars and politicians talk about global issues, hunger problems in India and more. They waited for Prime Minister Narendra Modi to make a speech via Skype, which included a joke about the current demonitisation crisis. They endured a weird repartee between Frieda Pinto and Shah Rukh Khan and many other performances. Jay Z made them dance. Coldplay made their hair stand on end as they jumped for joy.
Many weeks ago, Goans and others from India took part in various challenges set by the Global Citizen Initiative, and met targets that made them eligible for tickets to watch a variety of artists “ international and national “ live, a concert that was going to be headlined by one of the biggest bands in the world right now “ Coldplay.
The show was enthralling, and it was even broadcast live on VH1. Coldplay fans and Goans Andrea Fernandes and Axel D’souza, Falon D'Cruz and Edson Martins, Shruti Haldankar and Akio Fernandes, as well as Anysia Fernandes, Sherlyn Gomes, Reuben Ramos, sent in a few selfies from the show. Seems like they had an awesome time.
