Cielda Pereira debuts her maiden album

Cielda Pereira of Nachom -ia Kumpasar fame released her maiden album Devachea Hatantlem at Black Box, Ravindra Bhavan, Margao on August 9.

While Nelly Rodrigues, President, Goa Panchayat Mahila Shakti Abhiyan (GPMSA) presided over the event, Vijai Sardesai, Goa State TCP Minister and Fatorda MLA was the Chief Guest and ace music director, Roque Lazarus was the Guest of Honour.
Also present on the dais were TAG Vice President, William Fernandes and album producer Michael Gracias. The Konkani audio CD comprises of 12 songs and is a Bee Gees Productions. The album also features a duet sung by Cielda and her mother.
On the occasion, Cielda rendered her vocals to a captivated gathering while artistes like Ancy Gonsalves, Carey Fernandes and Larsen Gonsalves also sang.

Compering workshop conducted at Porvorim for government staff

The Additional Secretary of General Administration Department Amarsen Rane stated that compering is an art and the comperer besides good general knowledge should posses sweet and clear voice and command over languages.

"He should have good pronunciation and presentation skills too .The comperer is an important person and the success of any programme depends largely on the effective compering.The comperer should know the purpose of organizing the programme , the information of about the speakers and ability to interact with the audience if required," said Rane.
