As the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) is set to begin on November 20, the festival authorities have started the delegate counters at the festival venue. Registered delegates can collect their festival access cards and delegate kits from these well-stationed kiosks.
The online registration process for IFFI was initiated on September 1 and since then more than 9000 delegates in various categories have registered. Following an application process which was subject to approval and then payment, the confirmed delegates were extended an invite to the festival.
Seven delegate counters located in an air-conditioned hangar at Kala Academy, has been designed to make the kit collection process smooth and hassle-free for delegates. The counters have been allocated category-wise with two counters each for the professional and cine-enthusiast category. Further student delegates, senior citizens and the specially-abled have been assigned one counter each. The counters will be manned by well-trained festival executives to services the incoming delegates. The delegate counters will also have POS payment systems for that delegate who were unable to pay online or via DD, to enable spot payment. The counters opened on November 18 at 10 am and would be operational from 8 am to 8 pm on all other days.
