Beginning from November 20 in Goa, the International Film Festival of India (IFFI), one of the oldest and largest film festival events in India, is all set to celebrate its 50th anniversary this year by the sides of river Mandovi. Ever since the festival set its foot on the Goan soil, Panaji has remained the permanent host city for the past 15 years, attracting the attention of film fraternity across the globe. The event has earned a reputation for intimacy, extraordinary hospitality, and welcoming surroundings where delegates from around the world can feast on an unparalleled banquet of global cinema in the nicest possible circumstances.
Over the course of nine days, hundreds of films from a dazzling array of countries are balanced by the cultural landmarks of its host city, including the heritage precinct headquarters of ESG, including the Old GMC Building, the centuries-old Maquinez Palace complex, and the stunning jewel of Indian contemporary architecture, the Charles Correa-designed Kala Academy.
The Bhagwan Mahavir Children’s Park maintained by the Forest department of the government of Goa in Campal will be having some tasty treats and fun. This garden will be open to general public from November 21-28 from 6.30 pm onwards. The daily activities here would include magic show, mascots, face painting, zumba section, clown’s act, balloon moulding, stilty walker clown, 3D games, bouncy castle, dance performances, games, spot prizes apart from food stalls. The youth centric Art Park, open from November 22-29 from 7 pm onwards will have activities like English bands, DJ line-ups, international dancers, acrobats, fire dancers, Indi pop music shows, art installation, food stalls etc.
