Gru is back. The minions are back. Despicable Me is back and it’s called Despicable Me 3. Wait, what did you think it was going to be called, ‘Gru and the spy lady return to try and bust some new evil villain who does the breakdance while stealing things’? That would take up the entire space on the poster. Back to the matter at hand. Despicable Me 3 is about Gru, his three little girls (we assume they are there), his new found love, some evil guy/adversary, and the minions who mutter about saying funny things in a language that we cannot understand. The deal is that evil thief Balthazar Bratt (see what they did there?) is a hard man to catch and Gru and his spy lady love, Lucy Wilde, set out to do just that. The trailer doesn’t say much else except it does feature a little bit about the minions, who we don’t expect to play massive parts because they have their own film now and Despicable Me has always been more about Gru and the girls than them.
