Eco Goa’, ‘Sawaiker’s Goan Cashew Nuts’ and ‘Green Society’ organised a ‘ All Goa Eco-friendly Ganapati’ decoration competition. Eco Goa is a manufacturer of Areca nut leaf plates and Green Society manufactures paper bags.
This competition was announced for the decorations made at home by using all eco friendly material. Total of 75 participants vied for the online contest that was based on Facebook likes. The winners of the competition are Pranav Parab, Amey Ashok Porob and Shailesh Khedekar.
Prize distribution ceremony of this competition was held on September 22 at Green Society’ premises in Tarwale, Shiroda. Prizes were distributed to the winners at the hands of Sandesh Prabhudesai, ex-sarpanch, Shiroda, Jayant Prabhudessai, chief security officer, MRF, Padmanabh Prabhu Dessai, retired headmaster of Kamakshi High School, Shiroda. The organizers of the competition Pravin Prabhu of Eco Goa, Vaibhav Sawaiker of Sawaiker’s Goan Cashew Nuts and Vrushali Prabhudesai of Green Society were overwhelmed with the response they received for the competition and are determined to conduct such events in future.
All the participants had unique display of decorations. Special prizes were awarded for innovative creativity for 3 participants. Winners of these are Prathamesh Naik, Sarvesh Gaude and Ashwesh Ghadi. The photographs of the contest entries have been put up on ‘Eco Goa’ Facebook page.
