The directorate of sports and youth affairs had organised Youth festival 2018-19 at zonal level at Pernem, Sankhali, Mormugao and Curchorem in the months of December 2018 and January 2019 wherein events, like folk dance, folk song, classical vocal, harmonium, tabla and elocution events were organised at the zonal level. The first, second and third prize winners from the four zones qualify for the State level Youth Festival 2019 which will be held at Kala Academy in Panaji on January 10, 11 and 12. In addition to the above events, competitions will be held in One Act Play, Bhartnatyam, Kathak, Flute, Sitar and Guitar at the same venue from January 10 to 12.
Schedule of the Programme is as follows - On January 10 there will be morning session beginning at 9.30 am with folk dance, Guitar, Sitar and Flute while the afternoon session will begin at 2 pm with Bharatnatyam, Kathak and elocution competitions.
On January 11, the morning session will begin at 9 am with One Act Play, Tabla and Harmonium and the afternoon session will start at 2 pm with Classical Vocal. On January 12 the morning session is at 9 am with folk song followed by prize distribution ceremony.
The organisers have requested all the winners from the zones and youth who have submitted their entry direct for state level events to report at the venue on mentioned time, and dates as per the programme schedule.
