The finals of the first edition of Nightingale of Goa, 2017, an all Goa singing contest organized by Pilar Music Academy- Pilar Fathers Goa was held recently at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao. The competition saw Samaira Furtado and Holly Rodrigues clinching first and second place respectively in the juniors category while Kerryann Albuquerque and Carissa Batista took first and second prize in the teenagers category.Elodie Goes and Assenca Fernandes won first and second place in the youth category while Mahadev Gaonkar and Lourenco Pereira won first and second in the seniors category. Evencio Quadros, Managing Director, Quadros Motors Company was the chief guest for the event while Saiesh Palondikar, Vice Chairman,Ravindra Bhavan, Margao was the guest of honour. The finals were judged by Sonia Shirsat, Mukesh Gatwal and Bonny Alex. Shirsat and mimicry artist Manohar Bingi also enthralled the audience at the event.
