The future of Mariah Carey's upcoming reality TV show titled Mariah's World which offers an inside glimpse into the singer's extravagant lifestyle looks precarious after her break up with fiancee James Packer. Reports suggest that Packer was not comfortable about having their relationship broadcasted for the world to see. While there is no confirmation about the continuity of the show, here's a look at some other celebrities who also gave reality TV shows a shot

Nick Carter

Backstreet Boy Nick Carter decided to go the reality TV way with House of Carters which debuted in 2006 and gave viewers an inside view of the lives of Nick and his four siblings “ Aaron, Angel and their late sister Leslie. What did come to the fore more than anything else was the fight between Nick and his brother Aaron. The show ran for only eight episode on the E! Network. However, Nick decided to try again with his wife in 2014 with the reality show, I Heart Nick Carter.

Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie

The Simpler Life followed then socialites Paris Hilton and Nicole Rochie as two Hollywood offspring trying to do normal people stuff and followed their move from Los Angeles to a small town in Arkansas. The show ran from 2003 and 2007 and ended when the friendship between the two ended. Nicole went on to have her own show Candidly Nicole, a VH1 show based on her popular Twitter feed and web series.

Britney Spears

Here's another former couple that wanted to show off to the world just how much in love they were. Pop singer Britney Spears decided to star in a reality show titled 2005 with her then husband Kevin Ferderline called Chaotic. The show chronicles their whole courtship and wedding in the series but only managed five episodes on UPN.

Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey

This ex-couple pretty much hate each others guts right now but their hit reality TV show Newlyweds which began airing in 2003 is proof that they were once upon a time good together. The MTV show certainly helped revive Jessica's pop career but wasn't enough to save their marriage. The last episode aired in March 2005, and they split that November.

Kesha

The Crazy Kids singer first appeared on The Simpler Life and then decided to give reality television another shot in April 2013 with her MTV series "Ke$ha: My Crazy Beautiful Life" which provided fans a look at her life on tour. The show ran for two whole seasons.

Ozzy Osbourne

It's a little difficult to believe that the former Black Sabbath band member agreed to a reality show on his life. But so it is. The Osbourne's which focuses on the rocker and his family premiered on MTV in 2002. The show ran for four seasons and viewers got a glimpse of Jack Osbourne and Kelly Osbourne's home lives. Their sibling Aimee Osbourne however wanted nothing to do with the show.

Ashley Simpson

Along with sister Jessica, Ashlee also decided to go the reality television route in 2004 called "The Ashlee Simpson Show" which chronicled the creation of her first album and also covered her romance with fellow pop singer Ryan Cabrera. The show ran for two seasons and ended on the same day as Newlyweds came to and end.

Kevin Jonas

The eldest of the Jonas brothers also felt the need to show off his love to the world with

Married to Jonas premiering in 2012 on E!. The show documented his marriage to Danielle Jonas and the comeback of the Jonas Brothers on the first season, then the subsequent breakup of the band on the show's second season.

Shania Twain

Country/pop singer Shania Twain also hopped onto doing a reality show and debuted Why Not? In 2012 on OWN. The series looked at how the singer made it through a poverty stricken childhood, dealt with the loss of both her parents and also provides an answer as to why the hugely popular singer has been away from the record studio for so long.
