Visual art programme
Sunaparanta announces the seventh successful year at the Mango Tree After School Visual Art Programme. With an all new curriculum, this years’ programme will have 30 classes (held every Thursday), spread over from June 2015 to February 2016. The art programme is open to all those interested in Art in the age group of 5 to 9 years. Classes for the 5 to 6 year olds will be facilitated by artist Chaitali Morajkar, the 7 to 9 year olds would be guided by artist Ramdas Gadekar. The innovative ‘spiral curriculum’ makes the students learn new techniques and concepts in a variety of art media. This also means each year your child make new art pieces and learn new skills that build on their past learning.

Pencil to portfolio
With a curriculum designed to impart new skills through the elements and principles of design, this course will teach students to create his or her own storyboard and turn their drawings, sculptures and photographs into flip animation! Each child will exhibit a flip animation at the end-of-term exhibition along with the selected artworks (drawings, sculptures and photographs).

Theatre Master Classes
Sunaparanta's professional art educators give students a chance to express themselves theatrically while giving them the confidence to engage with the world around them. Through 35 exciting sessions, Sunaparanta will teach you to tackle challenging roles through acting exercises, vocal training, improvisation, etc. Students will be introduced to poetry readings to understand the nuances of voice projection, drama, emotions and movement. The sessions will further go into costumes and accessories, use of make-up, props and sets, etc. The creative process involving developing and sharpening self-awareness, observation, creative imagination, improvisational skills, and articulate use of the body and voice, will be headed by theatre personality, Arundhati Chattopadhyaya. The programme will conclude with a full length performance in March 2016.

Bible teaching
As part of “Deepen your Faith” programme, PedroArrupe Institute, Raia, will be conducting Scripture classes the book of Daniel written in around 530 B.C. Key personalities of this book include Daniel,Nebuchadnezzar, Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego, Belshazzar, and Darius. Thepurpose of this course and also of this book is to provide a historical accounton how the Lord God protected and provided for His faithful followers while incaptivity. It also includes a vision of future redemption and hope.
