Meghan Markle, the 35-year-old hit TV series Suits star met her beau Prince Harry’s sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, and niece, Princess Charlotte while her brother was being arrested. Thomas Markle, Jr., who shares a father with Meghan, was arrested for allegedly holding a gun to girlfriend Darlene Blount's head during a drunken argument. Meeting Prince Harry’s family is a big deal for Meghan as this signifies that things are getting serious between the two!
A source comments, "Kate was really looking forward to meeting Meghan and she knew how important it was to Harry. Kate fulfills that older sister/maternal role for Prince Harry since his mother Princess Diana died” The insider also added "Harry and Meghan went over to Kate's apartment in Kensington Palace where Meghan gave Kate a small birthday present which Kate loved."
However, while Meghan was rejoicing, her brother was disappointing the family. An insider also told us that Meghan’s dad was very angry because of his son’s actions. However, the royals are not using her brother's actions against her and have supported her throughout this difficult phase. Her brother is also very apologetic because of his actions and states, “I am incredibly sorry for my actions and I'm especially sorry to everyone affected by my drinking”. He also added, "I don't want anyone to judge Meghan off the back of this. She shouldn't be defined by anyone else's actions."
