Xiaomi is a phone company that has been innovating and creating phones to not just rival Samsung and Apple, but they also create budget phones in their Redmi series that has shaken up the phone market from the ground up. Now you can get a brilliant Redmi 3 for as little as Rs 7000 that has the specs of a Rs 20,000 Samsung phone.
Speaking of Samsung, Xiaomi has been teasing the Mi Note 2, a phone with a curved display, just like the erstwhile Samsung Note 7. But that wasn’t all. At the launch of the Mi Note 2, Xiaomi also unveiled a new phone called the Mi Mix. Xiaomi CEO Hugo Barra also tweeted pics of this phone and the world had their jaws dropping.
The phone sports a 6.4-inch display, but the highlight is its design. The Mi Mix has a 91.3 percent screen to body ratio and an edgeless display. Unlike most other smartphones, The Xiaomi Mi Mix doesn’t have a bezel on top, which usually houses the earpiece, front camera and sensors. Instead, the front camera has been repositioned to the bottom of the device, while the sensors are housed behind the display.
The Xiaomi Mi Mix is equipped with a Full HD display and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC. It is equipped with a 16MP primary camera with PDAF and a 4400mAh battery. The device also has a ceramic body. The phone available in two variants. The standard variant sports 4GB of RAM and 128GB storage and is priced at CNY 3,499 (approx. Rs. 34,500). The other variant is called Mi Mix Pro and offers 6GB RAM and 256GB storage. It also features 18K gold plating on the camera and fingerprint sensor rings. This variant is priced at CNY 3,999 (approx. Rs 39,400). Like the Mi Note 2, the Mi Mix can be book in China from tonight. It is not known if or when Xiaomi plans to launch the Mi Mix in India. PWe cannot wait to hold this beauty in our hands. Hopefully, we won’t drop it.
