With an aim to develop latent talents in children through creativity and play, and in view of the upcoming Hindu festival of Ganesh Chaturthi, all the Bal Bhavan kendras across the state organise an eco-friendly Ganesh idol-making workshop every year. The one held in the city saw children as young as ten years old work hard to create sculptures of unparalleled beauty.
This eco-friendly Ganesha idol-making workshop is just one of the many workshops and camps organised by this an autonomous body originally founded by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru in 1956 in New Delhi.
