Indian television shows have faced their fair share of criticism espiecally for their backward portrayal of an Indian woman as a sanskari bahu whose place in the family belongs in the kitchen. And while a new series titled Trideviyaan about three secret female agents may seem progressive, there is a catch “ once they are off their super agaent duty they have to resume their housewife duties. In fact the tagline of the show itself has been met with a lot of anger as it reads “Ghar bhi sambhale, aur desh ke dushmano ko bhi.” (They take care of the house, as well as the country’s enemies)
