The 1992 film was directed by John Woo, director of Face/Off and Mission: Impossible 2 and starred Chow Yun-fat, who has previously acted in movies like Crouching Tiger and Hidden Dragon. Since the movie is about a tough cop who goes after a gang of mobsters, the main shootouts in Hard Boiled revolve around guns and bullets. However, one scene stands out. The scene is in a hospital at the end of the movie where both parties stand face to face and carry out a ruthless shooting scene. This was a one take scene as they were shooting in a hospital and they weren’t allowed any retakes.

One of the most epic films of all time, The Wild Bunch was directed by the legendary Sam Peckinpah and included a whole lot of shootout scenes as a bunch of aging outlaws try for one final big score before retiring. In fact the shooting scenes were so bloody, that the director who used new styles to shoot these sequences was heavily criticized for the level of violence in the film. Nevertheless, it remains a classic.

The lobby and elevator sequence in particular stood out in this memorable filmstarring Keanu Reeves and took about ten days to film. Interestingly in the aftermath of the lobby shootout, a piece of the pillar happened to fall off. Although it was pure coincidence, the film makers decided to leave it in as it seemed appropriate.

Under the influence of an amoral lab director, the robot turns homicidal, constructs an army of duplicates, and goes on the rampage in an insane special effects sequence.

Ram Gopal Varma's 2002 Company is considered as a top class crime films where a young man rises to the top of the Indian Mafia, leaving a bloody trail of corpses in his wake. What's great about this flick is that it's pure Mumbai -- instead of copying the poses and clichés of American gangster movies, it blazes its own trails with some intense action and chase sequences.

Butch and Sundance decide to steal a payroll and the mules carrying it. However when they arrive in a small town, a little boy recognizes the mules' brand and alerts the local police, leading to a gunfight with the outlaws. They take cover in a building but are both seriously wounded, after Butch makes a futile attempt to run to the mules in order to bring more ammunition, while Sundance provides cover fire. As dozens of Bolivian soldiers surround the area, Butch suggests the duo's next destination should be Australia.
