Here’s another trailer where Tom Hardy takes his shirt off a lot. This is Taboo, an eight part miniseries produced for the BBC by Tom Hardy (Yeah, he’s talented alright), The Martian director Ridley Scott and some guy called Steven Knight who is apparently a big thing in England. And here we thought you couldn’t get any bigger than Benedict Cumberbatch. So Hardy plays some adventurer who returns to avenge someone. People think he died in the wilds of the world but he’s back and he’s a little off the edge. That role fits Tom Hardy to the T, if you remember him in Warrior, The Dark Knight Rises etc.
The trailer is a little vague and we're not so sure what this series is about, apart from some mention of revenge. This drama is set in medieval England, so you’ll see a lot of dull and drab landscapes, frill coats and dirt, but that’s the fun part, right? Apart from that there’s also Jonathan Pryce, so you know this is not some small time drama with just one big actor. Having said that, it remains to be seen how good this series really is. But really, if Tom Hardy takes his shirt off now and then, we wouldn’t mind it to be honest.
